Building the Bridge Program™ Proudly Presents

The Bienvenido Cohort: A Nine Month

Spanish Learning Experience

Building the Bridge™ is a pilot program developed by Flowing Brooks Enterprises, LLC™ Founder Jeanniece Jackson, MBA, BSBA that seeks to cultivate a multicultural family of Christian believers across Northeast Ohio, the U.S., and abroad who are empowered and supported to live a lifestyle of holiness and impact positive change in their communities according to the fivefold ministry principles of Ephesians 4:11 NKJV.

Future quarterly activities for Building the Bridge™ will be held at the SCRIBS Eatery, LLC™ headquarters in Pepper Pike, Ohio and center on cultural exchange dinner discussions, multicultural worship night events, community service volunteerism, and random acts of kindness across the region and abroad. Kicking off this program is the Fall 2025 launch of our virtual language learning community to teach foreign languages that are spoken throughout the world. We are starting with Spanish, the second most spoken language in the U.S. and Jeanniece's second language, followed by French in Fall 2026, Mandarin Chinese in Fall 2027, Italian in Fall 2028, Arabic in Fall 2029, Russian in Fall 2030, Japanese in Fall 2031, Hebrew in Fall 2032, and Greek in Fall 2033. We believe that foreign language literacy builds the bridge to connect Christian believers across the world, and we want you to join us on this journey. Let's go!

The goal of the Bienvenido Cohort, whose name means “Welcome” in Spanish, is to provide a foundation in Spanish literacy through guided use of (a) the highly lauded language learning app, Pimsleur, complimented by our (b) instructional video lectures, and (c) video interviews of guest speakers highlighting socioeconomic topics impacting the Hispanic community in the U.S. and abroad. Designed for ages 18 and up, our strategically developed curriculum guide is emailed to registered cohort students once registration opens at 12:00 pm EST on January 1, 2025. The deadline to register is by 11:59 pm EST on Friday, August 22, 2025. The cohort begins on Wednesday, August 25, 2025 and runs through Wednesday, May 25, 2026.

Instruction Delivery Method: Throughout the duration of the cohort, a 30-minute focus video is sent out weekly on Wednesdays at 12:00 pm EST to compliment the cohort student’s self-guided learning with use of the Pimsleur app. Each week’s video will focus on a different area of development:

  1. First Wednesday of the Month: Pimsleur Progress Check-In

    1. An engaging video review of the Pimsleur curriculum to highlight key concepts that cohort students should have learned by that point.

  2. Second Wednesday of the Month: Conquering Spanish Grammar

    1. A short video lecture on Spanish grammar and sentence structure.

  3. Third Wednesday of the Month: Social Justice Discussion

    1. A video interview featuring a special guest speaker covering topics ranging from social justice issues impacting the Hispanic community to tips for safe and productive travel trips within Spanish-speaking countries.

  4. Fourth/Fifth Wednesdays of the Month: Letting Your Light Shine

    1. Video discussion of tips for how to effectively witness/share the Gospel in Spanish, as well as make S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound) business decisions that positively impact the Hispanic community in your local area.
