How It All Started

Jeanniece was raised from a young age to serve the Lord. Whether it was volunteering at her local church, Rhema Fellowship Church, for community service, helping run their youth worship services, leading their praise dance team, playing violin in their youth orchestra, teaching their Youth Sunday School class, singing in their choirs, serving as a psalmist, or starting and leading their youth praise team, she has always been involved in ministry. In her teenage years, this evolved into submitting writing for publication in her church's newsletter and administering youth programming through her church’s Youth for Holiness ministry. Jeanniece further served in various leadership capacities at her high school and college campus in roles that shared the love of Jesus Christ. Some of these positions included:

  • Election as the first African American female president of the Cleveland Heights High School chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS): Through this position, Jeanniece re-instituted community service as a pillar of their organization.

  • Recruited as the first African American Arrupe Scholar at John Carroll University: In this role, Jeanniece organized and spearheaded service projects for the campus and surrounding areas.

  • Appointment to President and Vocal Director of the John Carroll University Gospel Choir: In this role, Jeanniece helped revitalize the choir's dwindling membership and build back up its presence on campus.

  • Founder and President of the John Carroll University F.AC.E.S.™ Student Organization: In this venture, Jeanniece recruited 30 culturally diverse student members with activities based on Faith, Action, Culture, Entertainment, and Service. • Selection as a 2012 Church of God In Christ, Inc. (COGIC) Publishing House Scholarship of Abundance recipient: One of only five winners worldwide, this scholarship paid for Jeanniece to intern full-time at Rhema Fellowship Church to help facilitate its youth ministry during the summer.

  • International Partnership Coordination at John Carroll University: As a MBA graduate student, Jeanniece spearheaded implementation and publicity of the 2013 JCU Catholic Climate Covenant Partnership for international recognition of JCU’s commitment to combat global climate change and aid those most affected - the impoverished.

To further cement her commitment to spreading the Gospel on an international scale, Jeanniece was licensed in 2025 as a Deaconess Missionary by the historic Church of God In Christ, Inc. (COGIC).  All in all, it has been Jeanniece’s call to ministry that has provided this push for her to pursue her business degrees, certifications, and licenses, so she could in turn build a public platform to offer faith based services and products. Welcome to Flowing Brooks™, the ministry of Jeanniece.
