What do you get when you put together a management consultant with two serial entrepreneurs that all have a penchant for using disruptive technology to innovate their clients’ operations? More specifically, how would this collaboration help clients who need to quickly register a trademark or file a patent at a reasonable cost?
Jeanniece Jackson, MBA, the Founder and Principal Management Consultant of Flowing Brooks Enterprises, LLC™, knew that there had to be a simpler solution for helping her clients make the investment to protect their brands’ intellectual property.
Flowing Brooks™' white glove service already offered comprehensive legal consultation to assist clients in understanding the fundamentals of non-disclosure agreements, non-compete agreements, trade secrets, copyrights, trademarks, and patents.
But in order to expand her firm’s ability to provide wraparound services, Jeanniece knew she needed additional manpower to handle the drafting, filing, and maintenance of her clients’ IP paperwork.
Thankfully, a mutual acquaintance made the introduction between Jeanniece and Shem Lachhman, the Managing Partner at Menlo Park Patents and Co-Founder of WizardIP, after she researched both companies and was highly impressed by what she found.
During a subsequent meeting in March of 2025, Shem explained to Jeanniece that through Menlo Park Patents and WizardIP, he and his Co-Founder, Joel Douglas, P.E., provide automated platforms to assist with the patent and trademark application process. However, it is at a fraction of the cost compared to competitors, all while still utilizing licensed patent agents and trademark attorneys, as required by law.
“Our winning formula for drafting and prosecuting patents has led us to service clients in 45 states and 6 continents, with over 600 patents filed by our team in the last year alone at a 95% success rate at the patent office,” states Joel.
“Using cutting-edge technology and a heavy investment into automation much like the popular personal injury firm, Morgan & Morgan, our commitment is to save clients time and legal fees, making trademark registration and patent filing a hassle-free experience, with all the quality that they seek,” adds Shem.
When there is synergy alignment, certain partnerships just make sense. And if you look at their prospective firm’s websites, you’ll find that as of Spring 2025, Flowing Brooks™ proudly partners with WizardIP to handle the registration of its clients' trademarks, and Menlo Park Patents to file patent applications.
Jeanniece recollects, “It was one of the simplest business decisions I’ve ever made. I’m looking forward to great things ahead for all of our companies.
